RM48Lx50 maximum GIO current

Hello,

I wonder what are actually current capabilities of the GIO pins in RM48L950 MCU. From the documentation RM48Lx50 16- and 32-Bit RISC Flash Microcontroller (Rev. A) I understand (Table 3-2 Output Buffer Drive Strength) that sink our source current capability fo GIOA[0-7] and GIOB[0-7] pins is 2 mA. Is ti correct? However what does actually mean note "zero-dominant"?

It is important to not exceed the maximum source/sink current specified for the output buffers in the datasheet. In general, these output buffers are designed to drive capacitive loads and not DC loads. For capacitive loads, the output buffer current rating determines the rise/fall time, as also specified in the datasheet.

Meaning of zero-dominant output buffers:
If two outputs are shorted together and one of them is driving a 1 while the other is driving a 0, then the result will be a 0 if the output buffers driving both the outputs are "zero-dominant" output buffers.
