I try to communicate my development board with another module. The module will send message via UART port. Problem is the data which sent by module is longer than default size of my development board. The buffer size is 16. How can I increase it? I use uartecho example.

Hello Turan,

The FIFO of the UART is fixed to a size of 16 bytes. To send a longer message you can write to the FIFO when the FIFO has space. The SRAM buffer which will read from the FIFO can be a large array,

I couldn't do that on TI-RTOS. I think it is just for tivaware. Am I right?

Hello Turan

TivaWare can be imported in TI-RTOS and the same can be done in RTOS environment. Just ensure that the UART callback function has the same just like in bare metal TivaWare.

Could you please let me know, where I can define and create the software buffer, as I am following SPPBLEProfile for CC26xx. I can only send limited 16 bytes to Client. I want to send 20 or more bytes to Client. Please suggest.

How do you plan to send the data to the client?

If it is a known string, then create a volatile array of bytes, and then assign it to DMA to offload the CPU.

well, I am sending the string (20 byte) through UART terminal (Server) to Phone (Client). Its only displaying 16 bytes as the hardware UART buffer size is 16 bytes suggested on some other posts. I want to know where i have to assign the array in code and how to assign it to DMA...its little confusing for me.
Please suggest~

Which TM4C device are you using? In TovaWare under each of the launchpad there is a code for udma_demo, which shows how a software or UART controlled DMA channel can be assigned.
