We are observing that, DSP hangs aperiodically (random behaviour) with continuous cycles of watchdog reset. The following steps provide the details on the scenario and the issue.
a. External watchdog is enabled but, Software trigger to the watchdog id disabled.
b. A GPIO is toggled each time DSP boots and the toggling happens till the external watchdog resets the DSP (since the software trigger is disabled).
c. it is noticed that there is random, aperiodic behavior, where the DSP doesnt boot (GPIO toggle is not observed) for every cycle of boot until the watchdog reset. At certain instances, the DSP requires 2(may be more) watchdog reset request for the DSP to boot.
I wanted to know
a. if somebody else has reported this behaviour with this particular DSP.
b. if this can be PLL lock issue.
c. any guidance or pointers on how to debug/resolve the issue will be appreciated.
