TM4C129X Booting from external Memory

The SPI boot loader indeed expects an external SPI in Master mode to load the code to the Flash memory. Having said that the upcoming extender memory pack for TM4C129x is being planned with NVM memory containing an example code which shall be loaded into an executable memory using a Flash based boot loader. The time line for such code/design to be available is in the next few weeks.

Are you saying with software that is coming up in few weeks, we can boot from Standard Serial Flash memory, which is SPI slave?

What I am saying that the user can download a binary file to the Serial Flash Memory and the internal boot loader shall retrieve the same, copy the same into external SDRAM and execute from it.

So having internal boot loader, we can load our binary from external serial flash using SPI controller as mater. Is my understanding right.

Yes, that is correct. The internal boot loader will also have the mechanism to transfer the bin file from PC to the external SPI Flash using UART COM Port
