Tiva C Series Development Board with Bluetooth.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2560, TM4C129ENCZAD, CC2530

DK-TM4C129X Connected Development Kit seems to provide the Tiva C Series TM4C129x Connected Development Board.

Can I expand it with CC256XQFNEM CC256x Bluetooth® / Dual-Mode Evaluation Module to yield a Bluetooth development test platform?

I intend to use TM4C129ENCZAD + CC2560. Is there any other development board setup that can provide compatible Bluetooth functionality with TI-RTOS? Possibly with XDS200 JTAG.

  • As I now investigated it seems there is no easy way to add Bluetooth to the evaluation board. The evaluation board has a BoostPack extension port where the SPI bus resides (I like to connect the CC2560 over SPI as it will be in the final design). However the CC256XQFNEM has no BoostPack connector.

Are there any suitable 3rd party BoostPack extensions?
I found the Anaren CC2530 BoosterPack kit for ZigBee.
Does it fit on the board?
My need is really just a SPI connection to CC2560.
  • Hello Kim,

We have the CC2540EMK which works with out-of-box example in TivaWare dk-tm4c129x examples of ble_btool and ble_central

  • Hello Kim,
The Anaren CC2530 BoosterPack kit for Zigbee works with the TM4C129X LaunchPad. I think there's firmware examples for that particular board, too. I know that we have them for the TM4C123 LaunchPad, and the two are very similar.
