Don't make more sense to be specular with respect to GPIOPinWrite that accpets a uint8_t as value ?

Hello Giuseppe,

I agree. However by definition the function was meant to return 32-bit back so that it could always be expandable. Not a rock-solid reason but nonetheless by practice.

It makes sense, but I wonder why a signed int. Given that it's bit twiddling it should be unsigned.
