Discussion: Moderator view point overrides Topic as not related, WOW!

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C1294XL

TM4C processors can and are being used TODAY in reality to indirectly generate electrical AC power using solar stored energy.

When a Engineering topic comes up that involves the production of AC electrical energy being made easier as a matter of invention that is indeed ON TOPIC.

It matters not the validity of the author to provide evidence to claims made in such article distributed in mass public disclosure.

Hence invention innovation creates the need for market ready devices using the TM4C processor to drive such new Inventions using PWM aspect of the TM4C1294NCPT processor and IOT interconnect.

That is considered and called thinking outside the box.

Moderator removing topic discussion shows the poster how narrow minded TI can be to advances in technology whether they be considered fictional or not.

That is solely a matter of opinion!

  • Without commenting on the subject of the thread-that-was itself, I must say that if it were allowed to stay, a whole lot of other "related" threads would pop up and thus have to be allowed to stay as well. I didn't catch but a couple of first messages of the thread, did it converge into TM4C specifics? If not, then IMO it had no place here. Just because PWM is used in AC power applications and the TM4C has PWM doesn't mean that any AC power related subject is "at home" on this forum. Why the TM4C forum and not C2000? They have even more advanced PWM modules than the TM4C. Why not the Sitara forums? They have PWMs. MSP's have PWM capabilities. I could go on.
IMO, a good way to "measure" whether this is the appropriate forum for a certain subject is to perform a thought experiment: would the subject fit equally well on any other forum? If the answer is yes, then this forum is the wrong place. In other words, if needs to have some TM4C specifics. Otherwise this forum can't fulfill the role of semi-official technical support & peer review/support that I've understood it has.
  • Bravo Veikko - very diplomatic - while (remaining) on point. (I punched "Like")
  • Have to disagree with that analogy since this is an electronics forum that deals with all aspects electrons in the form of 1's & 0's in Si/Cu devices. Those devices happen to have functions that make technology and innovation possible.

After all It was a discussion thread not a question thread!

My bad It was believed this forum was to replaced the NDNR Stellaris ware forum of RDK and BLDC motor ware.

Possibly some in this Forum have no clue to what a BLDC motor can do or what even moves it electronically. Let alone what the LENZ law infers mechanically or electronically and how the Lorentz counter force is present in all magnetic BLDC motors and generators that PWM can and does control.
  • Might another place - another time - prove more "welcoming" of your desired, web-link & subject?

Even this vendor supports a more, "motor-centric" forum.

Some (many) marketing approaches fail initially - perhaps "re-targeting" better serves your goals/desires...

That seems a bit far fetched IMHO.

There do exist electric tooth brushes, controlled by a microcontroller (even by a motor !). However, that doesn't mean we should discuss dental hygiene issues here ...

And at the end, it is probably pointless for us as "guests" to discuss the "house owner's" (i.e. TI's) forum rules and decisions.

And people, "GET the Gov't they deserve!"

Same holds true here - methinks - and do not you/I (sometimes) each raise our voice in protest of "owner's illogic/short-sightedness-withholdings?"

How better to, "Highlight another view" and to at least cast that alternative w/in, "Light of Day?"

As to "pointless" note that the "legal protections" provided here (to we outsiders) (i.e. "Providers of Content" - seen below in forum "boilerplate") resulted from my petition to  Blake (house owner) and his diligence in responding...

  • Forum moderators are also guest - do not work for TI & may have topic bias not befitting anyone belief other than their own!

Highly suspect Moderator pulled topic in dispute of their belief the energy conservation law was being challenged.

Physics laws are not judicial they are theory and have been broken time and time again, many in our own life time.

Finding 1000's of places to use the EK-TM4C1294XL will be challenging enough in a limited US market now highly absorbed in commercialism and waste by the top 20%. Suspect many of the 2000 Launch Pad connections in the Global community merely setup an Exosite profile and sit back count the ON time. Now add some baggage to that platform stress the ARM instruction set and behold all the embedded beasties come out to play. More challenges!

That post offered engineers a carrot to do something with the EK-tm4c1294xl Launch Pad besides watching how many connections to a server TI can have provides no real ROI yet burn KW of energy daily in a raised Co2 carbon foot print. The 21st century generation needs technical jobs and 20KW generators of highly reduced counter torque can be EASILY driven by BLDC motors in the Exosite Cloud.

To me amounts to all one and the same forum - the collective Borg.

The challenge before us all is not unlike Apollo or Gemini; "We do this not because it is easy, we do this and the other thing because it is hard."

  • Forum moderators are also guest - do not work for TI  ...

Methinks here you are wrong. They are TI employees.

  • May I promote "Methinks" to "WEthinks?"

Poster can be counted upon to (sometimes), "reach..."

  • My points: the OP did not really provide much facts about his "offending/dismissed" post, but his personal opinion. I'd like to hear the other side ...

And people, "GET the Gov't they deserve!"

They probably do, but that would lead to far here, I guess ..

How better to, "Highlight another view" and to at least cast that alternative w/in, "Light of Day?"

I agree - but only do I miss facts in the post starting this thread. And second, one needs to understand that something like this forum community, and much more the "appended" company TI, are not first-order systems. The have a lot of "inertial" mass, and suggestions/ideas take looooong to make an impact, even if much superior. Loud complaints can't accelerate this process ...

  • FWIW, my last comment on the disappeared thread was a reflection of my intent to stop participating in it not a request for its deletion.

  • FYI: Wasn't so sure article link passed the spam test but dang lets just kill all advance in science and for the Higgs Boson ever a reality or God particle.

As for Reaching - who really knows?

That would be Robert - et moi - and any/all others - in high disbelief - that hallowed vendor would employ/engage an outsider to "referee" vendor's own forum!

You made such claim - w/out (yet) one supporting fact - that's very much a "reach" - is it not?

  • Seem to recall reading long ago once a forum member after reach higher status could elect to be a member of Moderators if they choose to.

If that is not true then why the all the fuss over reaching a higher status trough a point system.

Striving to reach higher points a bit pointless in the design of most forum engines allow security aspect called delegated authority.

Held belief CB1 long ago was such a forum moderator if not so deserves that status ASAP. :)

  • I have no such knowledge (non-vendor forum members serving as moderators) - and have been here since early LMI dayze!

I'm mere outsider - have zero "moderating" influence - and no desire to enter law (or forum) enforcement - anytime soon.   (and hallowed vendor could not afford moi...)    As a point of note - I thought your post should have been allowed to remain - although "tin hat shields" seemed safest.

Judgment of "reach" appears, "spot on!"    Such bold claims should have (some) basis (beyond, "seem to recall") prior to publication...
