Is there any text book available for TM4C123GXL....

I just want to know that is there any text book available for TM4C123GXL that could cover all the features of this launchpad,
that could teach us from coding of  simple GPIOs to the interfaces like CAN and UARTs, i'm asking for a book that contains each and every detail of launchpad with example codes and stuff.

  • Hello Haseeb,

None written so far. But apart from that the data sheet, user guides, blogs and online resources should be helpful.

    Regards
    Amit

That's not (too) demanding - is it?   And just whom is to (properly) judge if "each/every" detail was included?

May I suggest that such book is unlikely to (ever) find its way to print?   MCU interfaces - you mention CAN & UART (yet there are many more) - appears that you yourself have violated your, "each/every" requirement - prior to page 1!

I've some experience in tech writing - trying to create an, "all in one" leads to a "monstrosity" and quickly becomes unwieldy.   And - won't the cost rise so high - as to "kill Sales" - and greatly encourage copyright violations and/or outright piracy?   Minus a publisher & distributor - how does the author get paid?   (should not that matter?)

Far better path is for you to focus upon one MCU peripheral at a time - then use the resources (as Amit's suggested) to best satisfy your (unique) goals/desires.

In closing - would not the author - after writing "best ever" LPad hardcover - search for nearest, "tall building" (from which to jump) when brand new LPad_2 is announced?    What then?

Your learning goals are to be admired - your "means to accomplish them" (thus far) not so much...

    users.ece.utexas.edu/.../Volume1

This is the home page for my professor's courses centered around the TM4C123. The 5th edition book mentioned on that web page Volume1 uses this microcontroller as a basis and also contains sample code, along with other sample code from his website. There are 3 courses in a row with several labs in each, starting from basic GPIO as you mentioned all the way to USB/CAN/Ethernet in the last course.

In a more digestible form, they are now running an online course at:
    www.edx.org/.../embedded-systems-shape-world-utaustinx-ut-6-02x
It's already ongoing but all lab material is still there and there is no reason why you can't jump in at any time.

    Good luck!

    @Kevin,

While you've "tried to be helpful" (while promoting your prof's course) did you fail to note that poster was quite specific in restricting responses to those identifying a text book - covering "all the features" and containing, "each/every detail?"   Does your response meet poster's specifications?

BFD!    Yet as our small tech firm regularly hires and/or engages new tech grads - their repeated, "Loss of focus upon the written directive/specification" proves alarming.    Such deviation registers as "superiority" and all too often the results fall far short - and require that we, "Return to square zero!"   (this time paying (some) attention to the written specification...and (surely) minus the "self-anointed" superior!)

Along w/"superiority" (rejection of the specification/directive - as you know better!) the OP - and many (most) students demonstrate a, "naivete" in the "ways of the world" - or how business (really) runs & works!   (as earlier post here detailed - OP's request made NO economic sense!)

My earlier post responded directly to poster's request - this one to (once again) the "far deviation (by you) from" the user's (OP here) specification.    As you progress toward the "real world" - and job market - you may wish to consider this (quite common) small, tech biz owner viewpoint...

Also refer to your datasheet, and the Valvano UT series is good
