TM4C1294NCPDTI GPIO Used for I2C Drive Strength

I am using a TM4C1294NCPDTI on the EK-TM4C123GXL BoosterPack.  If a GPIO is used for I2C, can I set the drive strength?  I am using GPIOB pins 2 and 3.  I am trying to set the drive strength with GPIOPadConfigSet(), but when I read it back with ROM_GPIOPadConfigGet(), I don't see the settings that I attempted to make.
