When I try to open an existing project, an error window pops up to tell me:

Issues that may require your attention were encountered while importing the project(s).

When I look under 'Details', I see:

Invalid project description.

C:\Users\houd001\HLO\ccs600\SolarWaterHeater overlaps the workspace location C:\Users\houd001\HLO\ccs600\SolarWaterHeater

Anybody know what this could mean? Thanks.

Open a new CCS work space and try again.

Thanks for your suggestion, Zhaohong. That works. I guess there is a bug in their code as I fail to see why the directory I work in should make a difference.

On another matter, do you happen to know where there is a USB stack for the Tivas? Regards, Harry.

The error was that the project directory was the same directory as the workspace. Eclipse doesn't allow the project directory to be the same directory as that of the the workspace - the project must be in a different directory (usually in a sub-directory of the workspace directory).

I know this thread is a year old, but I am having the same problem with importing project files. I put the project files in a subdirectory of the workspace directory and I still get the error. I am using Windows 10, CCS v7 and I am trying to load the Buck_VMC_F28069M project files from the powersuite examples.

I made a directory on the same level as my project directory and CCS imported the project. Didn't work when the project files were stored in a subdirectory. Maybe a Windows 10 quirk or CCS V7?
