Which is more popular in industrial applications and education teaching?

As one board has been "out/about" for years - and the other is (almost) brand new - how can one properly judge such, "popularity?"

May I suggest that "both" have a place in your industrial/education world - and the "proper" comparison of each - may make for interesting & effective coursework!

As small - tech biz owner - the (lack) of real-world device, board & application awareness/skill  is a major weakness of (most) tech interns & new hires.     Acquisition and distribution of (both) boards you list does (much) to correct - provides a great advantage to your students...

  • Hello Ying,

cb1 has the made the point clear... Each one has it's advantages one on power and other on performance. One on the long line of MSP and other on the abundance of peripherals.

  • Thanks Amit for your reply.

Is that possible for you to point it clear, which one is on power and which one is on performance? The MSP432 is more power-saving and the TM4C123GXL is more in performance? Right?

As for the MSP432, I knew that it is brand new MCU and needs time to get it populated. Any site I can get more information for this one?

  • You mean the MSP is a new MCU?
Of course, both has adv and dis-advantage. My question is: which one is more powerful in applications relatively? I know that this is a brand new MCU and needs time to get it populated.
    Thanks,
  • Hello Ying

Yes, You are correct on the power-performance. TI site will have more information, unless you google the same and see reviews for the device from independent web sites.

  • Got it and thanks!
