EK-TM4C123GXL reload firmware?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C123GXL

Hello,

I was developing for my EK-TM4C123GXL launchpad and I did something bad. Not sure what, but now when i plug in my launchpad it doesn't show up as a USB device. Classic!

I have already ordered another one, but I am curious if it is possible to reload the firmware(perhaps i just corrupted the image) without using the usb interface? JTAG?

I combed these forums looking for similar problems but to no avail. I am new to this board, so please point me in the direction of documentation on the firmware/bootloader... if it exists... :/    I am running on linux.

Many Thanks,

   Ben

Might that "combing" have missed the very top posting - this forum?     Therein - all of the "causative, usual suspects" - are assembled for your review.    (some past identified by this reporter - perhaps 6-7 years ago...)

Through use of LM Flash Programmer - "Utilities" you should be able to reclaim your board.

Always wise to "keep a copy" of your last known "good/working" code and the "present one."      Comparison between those two eases the identification of the culprit - thus this discipline proves worthwhile...

  • Hi,

Your on-board slider switch should be in position "debug" to be able to reload the code. The other position is for working as USB device. What is your case? Also you need to verify the drivers are OK (in Device Manager).

  • We note that this thread has been "moved" from "death valley" (Stellaris forum) to here.

Top posting @ Stellaris was JTAG failure - may not be the same here.

As poster placed his request in an improper forum - his arrival here is neither guaranteed nor likely immediate...
