Tiva C Bulk Device Drivers

Hi,

I manage to Flash correctly my Tiva C MCU with my own version of the Bulk Device example. Before, I had a stelarisware kit which i manage to properly code and control throught the CMD prompt.

But now, with tivaware, when I connect my MCU to my pc in Device mode, Window doesn t recognize the device which is normal to this point, so I go into window device manager and check for the unknown device -> update drivers and I select the folder:

C:\ti\TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.0.12573\windows_drivers

But window doesn t seem to want to install the drivers because immediatly after I click next, Window said that the best current drivers is already install and it is Unknown Device

Hello Mathieu,

Uninstall the existing drivers and then install the new drivers.

Hi, If I click the uninstall option, the device "disappear" from the device manager tab

Hello Mathieu

Now you can plug the USB device back in and check if it gets an Unknown device, or a USB device with "?". If it still detects and uses the older driver, then i would suggest removing the source of the drivers and then reattempting. I have had this problem in the past and I use the Devide Property to manually point to the directory to find the device drivers.

It still try to run it as Unknown device, when you suggest "removing the source of the drivers", what do you mean by that?

Hello Mathieu,

I mean the location of the drivers it was referring to earlier. May be an older StellarisWare release.

Hello,
right now the device drivers is :

Microsoft
2006-06-21
6.1.7601.18328
Microsoft Windows

if I click driver details, the Device manager say that no driver were load...
and I try to install the driver with the upgrade button, Window say that unknown device is the best driver....
I am baffled by how the OS say there isnt any drivers but still it is best suitable driver....

Hello Mathieu,

Restart the PC and then try. If it still does not work, load the Bulk example code in the LaunchPad from the TivaWare (the bin file and not your project) and then try to connect again.

I think there is an error somewhere in my code, in fact I just went and flash my Tiva C with an example from Tivaware and it worked perfectly

Hello Mathieu,

Highly likely. That is why I suggested to use the bin as a flow flush

Hi,
the problems was in the startup file, I didn t finish to fix it but the problem is there because I can flash usb bulk example with keil with out any problem

The solution was to set in the vector table of the startup file,

DCD USB0DeviceIntHandler ; USB0
