not able to load a programme in lanch pad rm46x but debugging is working

  • Hi Kota,

Picture doesn't really tell us much about what's going on. Just looks like programming is in progress.
Are you seeing any error messages? How long do you wait before deciding it's not working?
It might take more than a minute to download a flash image w. the XDS100 class emulation that's on a launchpad.
  • Thanks for replay

    following error i am getting

-----[An error has occurred and this utility has aborted]--------------------

This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

    The value is '-233' (0xffffff17).
    The title is 'SC_ERR_PATH_BROKEN'.

    The explanation is:
The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken.
An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed.
The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken
    with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault.

[End: Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe_0]

  • Hi Kota,

That's a fairly gross error - so could be lots of things but it's something fairly major.

Please check whether the nPORRST signal on your launchpad is asserted ('low level'). If so that may be the issue.
Are you seeing any indications of an overcurrent condition? (do the 5V, 3.3V and 1.2V rails all measure correctly?)
Have you ever been able to program code into the lauchpad before - or is this your first try?

    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Anthony
