Tiva C - 8 bits/parallel screen

Hi,

I just order this screen : http://tinyurl.com/pcucalg

The screen is a 8 bits parallel device? How can you programm the screen with a good level of abstract, I mean I don't want to manage the bits.

Can you use the driverlib of TI?

Hello Mathieu,

You will have to create the driver for the new panel. An example reference that may be used is 320x240 panel for DK-TM4C129X but if this bit banging then the sequences have to be redone. The drivr files are kept in examples/boards/dk-tm4c129x/drivers of TivaWare.

Hi,
how can I know the command in the driver example? Because from the datasheet of the LCH I purchased using any orther command that those written in the datasheet can cause harm to the device.

The link for the screen data sheet you sent is broken as well. The one that you are looking for and used in the DK-TM4C129X is

The driver IC is SSD2119 and the data sheet for the same shall give you the reference registers and commands.
