I have purchased the SafeTI-HSK-570LS31 while I am investigating the Lock-step architecture and the CCM-R4F module. I have some questions though for the kind of experiments that I could conduct for my topic:
- There is a validating and profiling tab in the HSK Monitor GUI. If I understand correctly, by selecting the "Lockstep Compare" you can inject an error during the execution of the application.
Every time that I restart recording and pressing the "INJECT", I get a different Fault detection time (a significant difference from 22us to 956us). I was expecting that this time will be deterministic, while the error detection is supposed to occur in two CPU clock cycles (equal to the delay stage before the signals reach the CCM-R4F). What is wrong with that? Could something affect this fault detection time?
2. In the "Profiling" tab I see the following options, but it's not clear to me what happens here:
Does it measure the time of each of these tests execution?
3. In the "Diagnostic Settings" tab, if I select the following options:
Does it mean that it integrates in the application these tests periodically?
4. Could I do any other measurements for the Lock-step architecture and the CCM-R4F module?
