5v power supply for DK-TM4C129X

I am trying to find a 5V power supply to connect to the J15 connector on a DK-TM4C129X dev kit board. The user guide for the dev kit states that the barrel connector is 6.5mm, and mentions the CUI EMSA05300-P6P as a suitable supply. However, that power supply apparently no longer exists.

I have searched on DigiKey, Mouser and several other sites looking for a power supply with a 6.5mm connector. All I can find are ones with 5.5mm connectors. Does TI have any suggestions as to where I can find a supply that will actually plug into the barrel connector on the board?

I think I finally found the power supply specified in the user guide on Mouser at www.mouser.com/.../EMSA050300-P6P-SZ

Strange thing is if you do a search in Mouser for the part number you won't find it. I finally tracked it down by searching for "EMSA05" and sorting through the results. Not sure why doing a global Google search does not come up with anything useful.

It is because the document mentions EMSA05300-P6 and the actual is EMSA050300-P6. I will get that corrected in the User Guide. Appreciate a lot the input you have sent back to us.

Ah, I didn't notice that extra zero when I found it on Mouser. That explains a lot!

Unfortunately, everyone seems to be out of stock on that supply. Are there any other suitable supplies that you know of?

Hello Dave

One option could be to a desk power supply of 5V and wire the same to a barrel connector. Tedious but works. Do make sure you set the current limit on the 5V bench power supply

Yeah, I may need to go the hacked-up route. I have a 5V wall-wart, but it has the wrong size connector.

BTW, the lead time on the EMSA050300-P6P is 3 months.
