TM4C1290 SYSCLK JITTER VALUE (12MHz Crystal and 80MHz SYSCLK)

Hello, I read the following post regarding TM4C129 Clock.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/tiva_arm/f/908/p/419897/1497316#pi239031349=2

If possible, I would like to know the jitter value on our operating condition.

 Device: TM4C1290

 12MHz Crystal Oscilator (+-50ppm)

 Sysclk = 80MHz, ( (12MHz x 40) / 6 )

 Could you pls tell me its Sysclk Jitter variation? or, can we estimate this jitter value?

Best regards,

  • Hello Ay0689,

    No, it is not possible to get the direct jitter variation. You can use the System Clock output pin to estimate the jitter though, but note that has digital circuit on the path which may not be as good on jitter compensation due to the path from the PLL to the divider flops and onto the IO's.

    Regards
