Which is the Best External SDRAM to be used with TMS57LC4357?

Hi TI,

My question is about selecting the best external sdram (synchronous) to be interfaced with TMS570LC4357.

Because as per the trm,

i) TMS570LC4357 controller can address 128MB (mega bytes) memory of external Synchronous SDRAM.

ii) Using Bank select pins, we can address up-to 4 Banks each having 128MB (megabytes). So literally we can make use of 512 MB (megabytes) (i.e: 4 * 128MB) of memory with TMS570LC4357 controller.

But I cannot find any such SDRAM IC which having 128MB (MegaBytes) of memory with 16 bit data bus.

I know that 512Mb SDRAM (part no: IS42/45S16320D) has 4 Banks with 16 bit data bus. But it is with 512 Mb (Mega bits) not with 512MB (megabytes).

So I want to make the best use of TMS570 EMIF module. Please anybody guide me for that.

Do anybody know such IC having 4 Banks, each Bank having 128MB (megabytes) with 16-bit data bus?

Also please correct me if my understanding on this EMIF peripheral in TMS570 is wrong.

    I think that your understanding of the TRM is not correct. The address range of SDRAM is not limited to 128M. Bank is a internal structure of SDRAM. I think that TMS570LC4357 EMIF can support the maximum size SDRAM chip you can find in the market. We can help you to figure out the hook up if you can share the SDRAM spec.
