software/ Hardware Security on RM48

Dear Team,

We are planning to work on RM48 for one of our project for industrail automation. For this we already started with the RM48 board, now we are looking for data security standard. While going through google we found one below link

We are looking for your support that does this RM48 board support these encryption standards. I went through the code as well this is simple c code so it can be implemented but here is one question ? Does any one had proved this earlier with this RM48 board.

 

Else suggest any other standard that we can go with.

    Subhash,

    The RM48 does not have any specific hardware (AES, DES, SHA) to support encryption algorithm.

    As you said, this can be done in software, and RM48 can definitively be used to perform these tasks.

    I don't have any example of implementation using software to perform these kind of encryption.

    Thanks for your valuable response.

    I just tried DES and TDES on rm48 and found 5ms and 13 ms time it take to do decrypt  and send back to the packet sender application with 1024 byte data. we thought to implement AES and find its performance on the board. 

    But the AES source code that i downloaded from below link does not worked correctly ,

    so we seek some assistance to achieve AES and SHA on RM48 board.
