When I try to program the controller, I get the following message.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -2062 @ 0x0)
Unable to halt device. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).

Reseting the board did not help.

I am using xdsv2100 debugger for programming the software.

No, I have been programming this board for a while now. It never had any problems. I added some new code to write data into the internal EEPROM and I started facing this problem after that.

Now the board has become unuseable because I am unbale to program the controller.

Hello Praveen,

Please check the errata for TM4C123 regarding EEPROM when used during a power failure or reset. Note that is applicable for revision 6 of the silicon.

Hello Praveen,

This is an unrecoverable error. To be sure 100% can you connect a scope probe on the TDO line for JTAG and see if it showing a square wave.

Hello Praveen

Did you check this after a power cycle? If not then I would suggest a power cycle.

If still you do not see a square wave then I would suggest running an Unlock sequence using a LaunchPad as the ICDI.

I was able to recover the device. I used the UniFlash utility to run the unlock sequence. Thanks for the help :-)
What do you think casued this problem? You think it might have been casued by reset during my EEPROM writes?

Not sure. But considering the fact that the TDO was not toggling it seemed to be a recoverable error from Unlock Sequence
