peripheral module self-test/ self-monitor for IEC 60880

Dears,

IEC 60880 :2006 standard require peripheral hardware module such as GPIO/ PWM module/ ECAP module/ SCI module has self-test or self-monitor function while these modules are running.

Do you have any idea?
