Greetings TI !

I use TMS570LC4357 HDK with Code Composer Studio Version: 6.0.1.00040 and HALCoGen 04.04.00 and FreeRTOS. I use CCS UniFlash Version: 3.1.0.00026 to erase the bank 0. After I erase (erase sequence is this - Sector 2, 4, 6 selected... Erase terminates in 2%... then Sector 4, 6 selected... Erase terminates in 3%... Sector 6 selected... Erase terminates in 5%) , I see that LEDs in the kit blinks in random (including error and indication LEDs) and the MCU IC gets heated.

When I try to debug using CCS, I get the following error message

Please let me know what causes this error and solution for the same.

(1) Would you please post the error message?
(2) Can you connect to target from CCS?

I'm sorry Zhaohong... The picture was not displayed in previous post

I was able to connect to the target after debug session for few seconds. Later I get this error message and the LEDs on the board starts blinking rapidly.

Did you get this error when CPU is running or on halt? Can you measure 1.2V and 3.3V on the board before and after the error?

Zhaohong, The error happened when when the CPU was on halt. I dint measure the voltage but saw the Indication LEDs for 1.2V and 3.3V was glowing.

You need to check the supply voltage at the device to see if it is really a supply issue.

Zhaohong, I checked the Kit with basic LED blinking program. The debug call stack pointer points to main after programming the Kit. After I give run, the board works as per the code. But again in sometime, the Run & Pause options get disabled and the CCS Console again throws the error that I've mentioned above. What could be wrong ?

The voltages 1.2V and 3.3V was also measured before and after the error. That remained same

From your post on another thread, it seems that you have two TMS570LC4357HDKs and they both have the similar issue. Normally, there is a power loss when CCS displays the the power loss message. TMS570LC4357HDK is the same as the TMS570LC3137HDK with a different MCU. TMS570LC4357 draws twice as much current. I have checked the specs of all the regulators on the HDK and they can provide enough current. Would you please try a AC/DC adapter with larger current capacity? You can also monitor the nRST pin to see if it gets toggled when the error occur? You also need to use a scope to check if there are any momentary power loss.
