Unable to import ek-tm4c1294xl board example files into CCS

I am trying to use Tivaware 2.1.1.71 and CCS 5.4.  I have worked with many Tiva and Stellaris boards and have never had a problem until now.  When I try to import one of the example projects, I get the following error: 

Error: Import failed for project 'hello' because its meta-data cannot be interpreted. Please contact support.

I have updated everything to the latest version.  This is happening on two different computers, both running windows 7.


Note that I can import example files from Tivaware 2.0.1.11577 for the dk-tm4c129x without problem.
