LM3S1968 Eval Board External Power Supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3S1968Hi.

I want to use my LM3S1968 Eval Board with industrial PC Touch Panel (Weintek EasyView MT606TV).
Eval board will control 24V inputs and outputs, analog 0-10V inputs/outputs - somekind PLC.
I'll make additional PCB with peripherals, but how to power supply the board?
It can be supplied with USB only. How to use simultaneously board USB for PC operation (debuging, frimare downloading, virtual rs232 debuging), and external powers supply.

One option is to connect device USB port to PC Touch Panel USB Host port. But then I would like to have device drivers for this panel and operate the board like in ordinary PC.

Second option - can I use 5V pin on pinheader as external powers supply, and connect Eval board to pc through USB?

Please help me with any ideas.

Where and what type is LDO (5V -> 3.3V) on LM3S1968 Eval board???

Best regards,
Apacz.
