How To Use Hercules TMS570LS1227 first time

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS1227

Hi,

I am currently using TMS570LS1227 PGE package.

I just make new board & PCB. I check all the configuration of JTAG is correct as the HDK TMS570LS1227.

My problem is when I try to do test connection, I always meet failed report as in attached file.

I also put my schematic design on attached file.

Could any one in this forum help me to solve the problem?

Thank you very Much.

Best Regards,

Lukman

  • Hello:

Please take a look at this post and let me know if this helps.

  • Hi Enrique,

    Thanks for your reply,
I have open the link you give to me,
I saw that in this case he has problem about ''The reset lines weren't being controlled properly''. And actually I don't understand what exactly solve that problem.
I have check my schematic design on nRst & nPORRST pins. I found that my PORRST pin on my schematic design doesn't connect to anything.
When I compare with the schematic of USB stick, PORRST pin is pull up with resistor 1K & connect with IC TPS70445PWP pin number 8 (reset).
And in my schematic design I don't use TPS70445PWP, so I let PORRST pin doesn't connect to anything.
Do you think I need to pull up PORRST pin with 1 K resistor in my design? or what should I do with this pin?
    Do you have any comment?

    Thank you,
    Regards,

    Lukman
  • Hi Enrique,

I have pull up PORRST pin with 1 K resistor in my design. Now it works correctly.
    Thanks for your help.
