Deep Sleep & Sleep Modes

Hi.

I am using the Tiva C Series LaunchPad. I am quite new to CCS and the launchpad and I wanted to experiment with sleep and deep sleep programs.

Can anyone tell me where to find easy-to-follow examples regarding the same?

Hello Bhavna,

Be careful when using the Deep Sleep Mode or Hibernate mode (Especially when you are new to the MCU and CCS). Do configure a IO to implement a while (HIGH) statement so that if the device does not connect, you can connect the GPIO to 3.3V via a Pull Up to stop the processor in the while loop and be able to connect, erase or program the device.

Hello All,

I have been trying to work with deep sleep mode and functions and while trying my controller went to deep sleep mode and now I am unable to flash the controller.

Is there any possible solution to wake the controller or erase flash?

Hello Mitesh,

What is the wakeup source?

If nothing works, then you have to perform the Unlock Sequence.

Please also have a look at the example code in the forum post

Note that a safety switch is given by means of a GPIO read that will prevent entry into Deep Sleep allowing any code to be flashed.
