A couple of super quick questions...

1) Does the eval board 'include' a licence for CCS6? Or is a sperate license purchase necessary.

2) The GEL file for TM4C1294NCPDT included with CCS6, dated June-10-2014, 3rd rev, loads in te CortexM3_util.gel.
Why isn't this a CortexM4 specific gel file?

1. No. There is a free license and code size limited license that can be downloaded from TI web site
2. If it is just the name then it is not a problem. It must have been missed during the LM3 to TM4 conversion.

I understand that buying an XDS100v3 for debugging will remove the code size restriction on CCS - is that right?

AFAIK, The CCSv6 License is for all TI processors and not just limited to TM4C12x device

I think so (not so sure on this topic), it is code size limited but would be better to check with the CCS Forum

Accordingly with Markel Robregado ( from CCS forum ), CCSv6 free license it is NOT size code limited for TM4C family.

Hello Sergio,

Then suggest going ahead with the use of the license. I do note that in the past a few forum threads did mention that it was "not" code size limited when using the EK's and DK's.
