F021 Flash API - Fapi_doBlankCheck calling from RAM

In the F021 Flash API Reference Guide (added in Revision H http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spnu501h/spnu501h.pdf)

I read that the function Fapi_doBlankCheck must be executed from RAM for devices with L2FMC.

In the code for Flash Emulated EEPROM (FEE) generated by Halcogen 04.05.01 for TMS570LC43, it seems that the function is called from Flash memory.

Is it an issue? Does this function need to be called from RAM in any case?

Hello Piotr,

You can do a blank check on flash bank 7 while executing from bank 0 or bank 1. I will also ask the flash API expert to confirm.

Hello Piotr,

Statement in above thread is correct. For Bank 7, blank check can be performed while executing from bank 0 or bank 1 since F021 library API allows to read 64 data bits and corresponding 8 check bits to be one with out creating an error.
