TMS570 issue: code doesn't run at cold start.

Hello,

I have flashed a small code in a TMS570 device .

But the device is not running the code after power On. When i connect debugger , it always stops at 0x00.

Through debugger i am able to run the code.

Same code with other TMS570 device works fine.

It seems some hardware defect is there in the controller.

kindly let me know what could cause this problem.

Which TMS570 part are you working with? Can you upload your code project?

I am working on TMS570 LS series and i found that there is short connection between TRST and U3V3 pins.

TRST always remains high because of short with 3.3V and in other controllers it's always low.

Do you think it could be one reason to stop the code at 0x00 at cold start?

The nTRST pin needs to be low or not driven (has an internal pull-down) when normal application execution is required. This pin is driven high by an external emulator, and must not be connected to 3.3V. See this forum thread as well: e2e.ti.com/.../778943
