UART0 not sending data when configured for Booster Pack Power

Hi Amit,

I Have a code that outputs data to UART0. We found that this code executes as expected. When we switch the jumper from the ICDI pins to the BoosterPack pins and supply a +5V power and ground set from a power supply to the EK, the expected information does not appear on my serial reading program. What might I be missing?

What is the physical connection from UART6 to the ICDI. Also do note that the uartstdio is meant for UART0-2 only. To have any other UART you would need to update uartstdio.

The connection from UART6 to the Computer is a BT chip connection. You are correct in that uartstdio does not work for UART6, but I have a work around using UARTCharPut. To my knowledge UART6 and ICDI aren't connected. When ICDI does not have a jumper UART0's uartstdio functions are causing a Fault. I'd really like to be able to output from both UART6 and UART0 at the same time, while using a non-usb power soruce.

Hello Adam,

The ICDI jumper when not connected will cause the RX line to drop to 0 which will block the TX as well. Hence I would recommend that you either Pull Up UART0RX or connect back the ICDI.

Even with ICDI connected you can continue to use UART6.
