Hello All,

Today I find that I2C7 is not communicating with a particular address. I have two chips with the same address, and I can communicate with either chip on I2C8. However I2C7 will NOT communicate with either chip. Same code, but of course with a change of base from I2C7 to I2C8. Am I missing something?

Yes.

1. Are the IO configured for I2C operations from I2C7
2. Is there Pull Up on the I2C SCL and SDA
3. Are there any conflicts on the physical pin from a push pull driver

Hi Amit,

I neglected to mention that I2C7 will communicate with other chips (also INA219) with different addresses just fine. Which I believe would not happen if 1 and 2 weren't true. As for 3, are you talking about a motor driver (or something similar)? I will attempt to determine conflicts from the physical pin, what would such a conflict look like?
