TM4C123G & CC3100: sample code problems (FaultISR)

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to use the "getting_started_with_wlan_station" sample project included in CC3100's SDK using IAR. After replacing Tiva C libraries with the correct ones installed on my pc, as explained in the documentation attached, I am now able to copile the project.

As I run it, although, The code stops at the function showed in the screenshot attached to the post entering the FaultISR function.

I already checked on the site and this kind of problem seems quite common, and as proposed I tried to increase stack's dimension, check correctness of GPIO settings, etc... and all seems correct.

Has someone already used this program? Are you capable of giving some advices?

Can you check the value of the FAULTSTAT and FAULTADDR register?

Hello Maurizio ,

The Bus Fault is at 0x40005500 which is the address space for GPIO Port B. Has the SysCtlPeripheralEnable(SYSCTL_PERIPH_GPIOB) been called?

Hi Maurizio,

I have made the "getting_started_with_wlan_station" CC3100 sample project work with Tiva Connected Launchpad. I only corrected the Path Variable TIVAWARE_ROOT and set the folder location to my Tivaware installation directory and it worked. See, my blog post about that.

For Tiva Launchpad + CC3100 Booster Pack ""getting_started_with_wlan_station" should be the same procedure as mentioned above and it should work without any changes to code.

Before, I tried the "getting_started_with_wlan_station" with my Tiva Connected Launchpad + CC3100 Booster Pack, I updated the Service Pack of my CC3100 Booster Pack using Advanced Emulator Booster Pack for SimpleLink Devices.

Hi Markel,

I followed the same operations you described updating the TIVAWARE_ROOT variable and also my project works, it's only the underlined function that calls the FaultISR. I can overcome to it by mounting an external pullup resistor on UART Rx pin, which is what the function does.
