BOOSTXL-SENSHUB Sensor Hub BoosterPack air mouse problem

Hi ,

I just tried the air mouse example using the TM4C123GXL and the BOOSTXL-SENSHUB.. The LEDs are as follows: green on the TM4C, solid blue and rapidly flashing red on the booster pack. The left and right buttons on the TM4C work as intended as mouse buttons. However, rolling or moving the board slowly or rapidly has no effect on the muse pointer. I am taking an introductory embedded systems class as an undergrad so my knowledge of microcontrollers is quite limited so please forgive any dumb questions I might ask :)

I am using a Windows 8.1 laptop.

I am not sure what is wrong. The device appears to be fine in device manager under HID. One question, I assume I inserted the pins on the MC correctly into the booster pack. It is oriented correctly and all pins were inserted, As I said previously, the insertion must be fine since the LEDs etc. are as expected.

Hello John,

Could it be the MPU9150 is not working? Did you check the MPU9150 example first to see if the sensor booster pack is working?

Hello Amit,

Thanks for the quick response. I found the issue and it was my fault. I did not think to press the reset button on the MC before trying the air mouse. The mouse buttons worked before resetting but in order to have the motion sense functionality, I had to reset the MC. Sorry, I should have thought of that before I posted.

Do you mean your PC? If yes, then I have never did that and the air mouse example has worked.

Amit,

After I pressed the single button on the upper right hand side of the microcontroller (I thought it was a reset button) the air mouse began to work. Note, after stacking the booster pack on top of the microcontroller, this button is partially covered by the booster pack. I did not need to restart the PC.

All is well now.
