HTTPS implementation for TM4C129X MCU ?

Hi Amit,

There is one pictorial representation taken from ti's white paper.. I am using Tm4c129NCPDT MCU. Is it possible to use HTTPS protocol with this and uIP stack ? As this doesnot support CRYPTO , as indicated by below diagram .

Is it still possible anyhow ?

The implementation using TM4C1294NCPDT would required Crypto to be implemented in software which is going to consume valuable CPU cycles. I would suggest TM4C129NCPDT.

Hello Sanchit,

if you want to use hardware crypto accelerators then yes. Please do note that there is no web server example with HTTPS in TivaWare. So all the development will be your onus.

As mentioned , Hardware Crypto is not supported by TM4c129NCPDT MCU.So I cannot use it !

Still, Can i use to crypto software libs for tiva c series , I understand it would take large cpu cycles. but still can crypto software libs be used for implementing SSL layer , so as to implement HTTPS ... in Tm4C129NCPDT MCU ?

I understand that there is no example code. But still can TI come up with some initial frameworks , not a complete working solution ... But a framework about how to go about implementing SSL so as to implement HTTPS in TIVA .

Hello Sanchit,

There are no plans yet. The only working example is a client side IoT example where a EK-TM4C129EXL crypto connected launchpad connects to the exosite server using https.

I would suggest checking TI RTOS and/or WolfSSL for examples
