TMS570LC4357 - Safety Report

Dear all,

Safety Manual (SPNU540–May 2014) refers to the Safety Report for TMS570LC4xARM Safety Critical Microconrollers (SPNU543) which includes

  • Summary of evidence showing compliance to targeted safety standards
  • Results of assessments of compliance to targeted standards

Unfortunately I have not found this Report on TI website. How can this document be achieved? Is that under NDA?

Further in the text, there is a hint :-) "For more information regarding the Safety Report contact your TI sales representative or http://www.ti.com"

Thanks in advance,

Best regards

Jiri

  • Hi Jiri,

I will check and let you know later.

  • Hello, personally I have worked a long time with the Hercules family and I have never had problems with these processors, I applied in power supplies for galvanized plate of copper mines in Peru, where environmental conditions are pretty ugly !.

The processor responds very well, as a consumer I recommend it for industrial applications.
  • Hi Martin,

    thanks for sharing your experience!

I trust you this device is stable and reliable. But there is necessary to have the entire documentation if you need to pass an assessment process in accordance with standards XYZ... It primarily means references and evidences.

The document SPNU540–May 2014 states that the Safety Report is In development. We are a few months behind May 2014, so I hope the status of this document has been changed to Àvalilable ;-)

    Best regards,

    Jiri

  • Hi Martin,

I was told that we are not planning to release the Safety Report of individual device any more. Instead the individual device TÜV certificate replaces the safety report. The certificate means that all safety report documentation have been reviewed and approved by TÜV.
