Problems with example hello

What is the serial port application that you are using? Which TM4C board is this?

Hello Amit.

I am using  Docklight  and  IO Ninja as serial port application.

And I am using  EK-TM4C1294XL Tiva Lauchpad.

With example "hello" I saw that Led D1 blinky but I don't see data on my serial port.

Can you please try TeraTerm Serial Console Application? Do make sure that the setting is 115200 8-N-1,

And the Device Manager COM5 is also configured the same?

Please check the setting of the Jumpers JP4 and JP5. They must be in the UART direction and not CAN direction.

Yes, Device Manager COM5 is also configured the same.

And Jumpers JP4 and JP5 are in default horizontal configuration

And Jumper JP1 is in ICDI position.

Hello Noelia,

Is this the first time you tried an example on the connected launchpad. Based on your posts, all seems to be correct. The next thing to try would be to put a scope at X1 testpoint mentioned TXD and RXD to see if data is being exchanged between the MCU and the ICDI. Please note that the scope probe must be put on the resistor side of the X1 header.
