Fabian,

As off today, there is no plan to make an Hercules derivative with CAN-FD interface.

We are now in 2017, and CAN FD is a requirement in new automotive projects. What is the roadmap of CAN FD in TMS570 or other uCs in TI ?

Hello Rolf,

For sure there are plans for MCUs and processor class devices with support for CAN-FD. There are no plans to add CAN-FD to the existing Hercules devices but there are follow-on devices planned beyond the TMS570LS43xx. For more detailed roadmap discussions, please contact your local TI support/sales so a direct conversation can occur. We can't get into details of this type of discussion and business planning on a public forum..
