Endianness issue with TMS320LS3137 HDK

I am using TMS320LS3137 HDK board with CCS 6.0.1. In the compiler options if I choose TI tools, the target board connects and runs properly. But if I change that option to GNU tools the target doesn't connect. It shows an endianness issue. But my requirement is to run with GNU tools.

I have seen the same issue in the forum but I couldn't download the required binaries suggested in the solution as the binaries no more exists in the link.

I don't have required tools to build the big-endian binaries. Can any body share the big-endian binaries for the required target board?

Thanks & Regards,

Omkar

  • Hello Omkar,

This is the post that finally has the links to the BE library for the GCC compiler.

One of the 2 links is listed as restricted inside out firewall here at TI so I cannot retrieve the files for you. Perhaps you can get to the site at your location or access the site outside of work. We do not have these binaries internally nor have they been verified by TI.

As mentioned on the other thread you posted to earlier, if your application is non Automotive and doesn't need Flexray, it might be worth having a look at the RM48 device since it is natively LE and is also safety certified for ISO61508. Additionally, the RM48 adds USB support which could be useful in medical, industrial or other non-Auto safety applications.
