I am getting an error message "**ERROR**: Problem starting the BOOTP server" when pressing the program button in the LM Flash Programmer - Build 1613 tool. I am attempting to update the firmware in two TM4C129ENCPDT processors that were designed into a CPU board. The IP and MAC address are correct in the Configuration folder. Wireshark was used to monitor the Ethernet and found that there was no communication activity when the program button was activated. The error message window popped up immediately. I am able to ping both processors over the Ethernet. The firewall was disabled in the PC Laptop and administrative rights was given to the LM Flash Programmer tool. The Laptop OS is Windows 7 64-bit. The LM Flash Programmer tool was downloaded from the TI website to a different computer and had the same issue.
Updates were successfully made to the TM4C129ENCPDT processor on the CPU board by the offsite engineering development team with the identical set up using the LM Flash programmer. The offsite team did not have any issues when using the Windows 7 or XP operating system.
There must be a software setting(s) in the laptop that is not properly set since the LM Flash programmer has been successfully used with the CPU board previously when connected with a different laptop.
What setting(s) in the Laptop PC is preventing the LM Flash programmer from communicating with the TI processor?
