What can I do with the PWM Dead-Band generator?

Hi there,


please can anyone explain to me what I can do exactly with the Dead Band controller in the PWM generator? At the moment I have no idea what it is good for. I find the description in the pwm.c file of the TIVAware Library quite vague. And in the datasheet of my controller (TM4C1294NCPDT) it is also very confusing because they use raw registers in the datasheet instead of the TIVAware library functions. They are speaking of COMPA and COMPB but I did not find any function in the library which I can use to set these comparators.

If If could understand better what I can do with the Dead-Band generator I could maybe use it in a project I do in the future.
