HET as MibSPI external trigger

Is it possible to configure the MibSPI trigger source to be a HET pin and have an off microcontroller (external to the micro, not just external to the spi peripheral) drive the HET pin, thus triggering the MibSPI transfer? In short, I'm looking to have the HET pin behave like the GIO pin does when triggering a MibSPI transfer group.

The HET trigger reaches to the MibSPI module via an internal path. You cannot trigger MibSPI via the HET pin.

Hello Brian,
Any reason why you can't use GIO pins but have to use HET pins? You can use one of the GIOA pins to have the effect you are looking for which is to trigger the MibSPI via an external source.

Hi Charles,
At first glance we can use the GIO pins, we're pretty early in development and we can layout the board differently for the next prototype. I was confused by the documentation, which states "External" Interrupt but must be from MibSPI peripheral's perspective instead of micro's.

Hi Brian,

Please check your device specific datasheet for the below table. If you look at the second note it says that you can use external source to trigger the MibsSPI via the GIO pins.
