Hi,

I have TMS570LS31HDK board. Currently I am using CCS to connect, flash and debug on the board.

I have DS-5 licensed version. How can I use this board with DS-5?

I want to create GCC Linux OS which I can use on the board for booting. Is it possible to create this?

I want to generate the executable using GCC ARM tool chain and use it on the board. For doing this, I can use tool chain from Linaro to generate the executable. For flashing this executable and analyzing the outputs, what tools should I require?

Hi,

Is there any way that I can use GCC cross compiler for generating the executable and flashing on the board independently from CCS?

For example, I should build the application on GCC. Application means I have one main function where API functions of the library are called inside the main function. Board start up code along with main function and library should be build on GCC cross compiler. Is there any way like this?

As Chuck mentioned in the forum thread, this device belongs to a big endian family and GCC does not support big endian.

You will not be able to load a little endian executable to a big endian device.
