I am new to TI hercules.

i want to interface a flow sensor through I2C communication. there is no I2C pin out in board. weather i want configure the GPIO pins as SDA and SCL of I2C communication.

I am in need of basic codes for the configuration.

The I2C pins are on expansion connector P3. See page 29 of the schematic. The following thread would provide you with useful information.

As you said i have connected my sensor SDA and SCL pin to the P3 connector of the RM48X HDK ( Pin no 72 - I2CSDA and pin no 73 I2CSCL). when i checked the SCL pin with OScilloscope i dint find any clock out.

I have attached the procedure i followed. help me short out the problem.

You may want to first check if the pinmux is set correctly.

(1) In the I2C module, configure the I2C pins as GIo outputs.
(2) In the I2C module, toggle the pin states to see if the pin follows.

I have checked the Pinmux and the SCL and SDA are set correctly in halcogen. whether other steps are to be done in halcogen or in the programming?

Don't forget to check the I2C->I2C Port tab as well.

You need to make sure the bottom 'link' that maps GIO to the I/O block is checked.

It defaults to the top link ... (I2C function)

i am not good in communication protocols.

my objective is to extract the data in EEPROM of TSI-840523 and to perform calculation in RM48 to obtain flow.

What configuration i have to use for establishing I2C communicating with EEPROM and RM48?

I dont find any address (Slave address) in the datasheet of the sensor. and also what is the address (Master address) for RM48 i have to use.
