TM4C1294 Power Sequencing

Hi,

In the TM4C1294 datasheet it is mentioned that VDDA must be powered up before VDD if sourced from different supplies, or connected to the

same supply as VDD.

In all designs I saw including EVB I saw that VDDA and VDD are connected together.

Any idea?

Hello Eli,

Both of them may be powered together as it would save BOM cost on the external LDO's. Also there needs to be cap on the VDDA placed close to the device to make sure that the VDDA which supplies reference to ADC is stable.

Hello Eli,

Do note that if your device has Vrefa for ADC, then make sure that the reference is stable.
