Hi,

I want to move the data received through UART to another register.

I tried to view the registers in CCS. but i got error as Error: unable to read the value.

How to short out the Error and in which register the received value is stored. how to move the value received in SCI register to another register to perform calculation

Hi,

You can read the RD register in SCI module to get the received byte. The FLR register indicates whether a byte has been received by the module. You can check HALCoGen to see how the generated drivers are handling this.

Will you please look into the project that i have created Sir. I want to move the received bite to register i(I have declared the register in my program). shall i directly write code as i = RD; will i get the RD register value in i;

Yes. That should work. But you can read the FLR register to make sure a byte has indeed been received.

Hi,

yes i have not declared RD Sir,

I need to move the received byte through Rx (RD register) to register i and to perform calculation.

Did the data received through Rx pin is stored in RD.

I dont know where the received data is stored (in which register) and to move declared variable i perform calculation with another variable b.

Yes, but you need your C program to compile first, before any of those other things will work!

Hi,

In the program shown above, you seem to be using HALCoGen drivers. I assumed you were writing your own driver code. The sciReceive() function will give you the read data. All of what we explained above is done inside the sciReceive() function. In your program, the "command" variable should contain the received value.

I am just now started with RM48 programming Sir, Right now i am using the HALCOGEN drivers and i am not using my own driver code.

I will check with the above explanation and come back to you, if i face any difficulty
