Hello,

in spnu499b is written that FDIAGCTRL and FPAR_OVR are only present if SIL3_config=1.

How can I check this configuration?

Hi Thomas,

SIL3_config is a parameter during design creation. Since you are refering to spnu499b for which the Hercules TMS570LS31x/21x is based on, this SIL3_config is set to 1. Therefore, these two registers are present in the device.

That sentence is confusing. We will have it removed in the next version of the TRM.

Is FPAR_OVR only used for configuration, if diagnostic mode in FDIAGCTRL is enabled?

Hi Thomas,
That is correct. The FPAR_OVR should only be used when you are in diagnostic mode.
