TM4C1294XL BOARD STOPPED WORKING.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C1294XL, EK-TM4C123GXL

I am using Keil uVision4.74  in windows 8 platform for programming  my Tiva boards ( EK-TM4C1294XL and EK-TM4C123GXL launchpad).

Some times  my keil used to crash during debugging, then the only solution was to quit  the keil and start debugging again.

after some time, after restarting keil, it failed to detect the board. then i disconnected and reconnected the board, now its not getting detected in PCs device manager itself. So unable to use LM flash tool also.

The power supply to the board is working ,with power LED ON indication. I could measure +5V & 3.3 V in the board when it is powered up.

What I should do , can anyone provide a solution to recover the boards?

Thanks in advance

  • I'm not really an expert of the TM4C devices, but that sounds rather like a problem on the host side.

Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the ICDI drivers ?

Have you tried another host machine (Windows PC) ?

Have you tried to disable the onboard debug adapter, and use another one (perhaps a full JTAG adapter like J-Link) ?

Have you tried the Keil forum ? They have a good and responsive forum for their tool, and seem more specialized for your problem. On this forum, you will meet a uVision expert just by chance ...

  • jithin,

All I can offer is to concur with f.m.'s recommendations to check debugger on the PC side. Sounds as though the TM4C is up and running, although I would suggest checking both your TM4C129 and TM4C123 and both are not recognized, it would confirm the issue is on the the debugger side which Keil support should be able to help you work through.
