Read Hall sensor data on DRV8301-LS31-KIT

Hi;

I just try to read hall sensor data produced on DRV8301-LS31-KIT with TMS570ls3137 in TI motorware program (TMS570ls3137_secodored_speed_smo). Could you send me a piece of code for it. or give some hints ? is this issue similar to what is written in another forum about DRV8301-LS12-KIT

Hi Ali,

From what I can tell the Teknik M-2310PLN-04K motor that comes with the kit doesn't have any hall sensor just a 4K optical encoder.

There isn't any software in the TI Hercules motorware that supports hall sensor feedback so you would need to create this yourself.

The DRV8301 Does have a place to connect a hall sensor but on the motor kit I looked at - this connector was also hooked up to the same quadrature encoder as the motor has not to a hall sensor.

If you disagree on the Hall sensor let me know - I'm not a motor expert - but I cannot find any mention of a hall sensor in the motor datasheet from www.teknic.com/.../N23_Industrial_Grade_Motors_v6.3.pdf
