how to Display image on Kentech display in tm4c129x board from SD card

Hello,

I am working TM4C129x Evaluation board.

I dont't know how to Display image from Sd card. In sd card which format we have to store data means jpeg or bmp .

How to convert data bmp to hex format in to code ? Any library or sample code available for reading from memory card and display on kentec display .

Please give some guide line .

Thanks & Regards

  • Hello Priya

    TivaWare comes along with an application called pnmtoc. This converts a pnm file to hex format. There are web tools to convert bmp/jpg/etc to PNM format.

    When it comes to images in the sd_card, note that the sd_card is not executable format. The files need to be brought on SRAM before the same can be sent to a Panel.

    There are no ready to use examples for sd_card to LCD Panel.

  • Hi Amit,

        Thank you for your reply . i have successfully converted and display image using pnmtoc application . but I want to read .ppm or .c or .bmp file from sd card and want to display on kentec display . I have successfully read all format from sd card but I Don't know how to pass in function in grlib.

    how to use pnmtoc.c in project code please provide me .

    Below I have list down function which we have used.

        iFResult = f_open(&g_sFileObject, "floor.c", FA_READ);

        iFResult = f_read(&g_sFileObject, g_pcTmpBuf, sizeof(g_pcTmpBuf) - 1,

                                  (UINT *)&ui32BytesRead);

        GrImageDraw(&g_pcTmpBuf, g_pui8Image, 0, 0);

    Thanks & Regards

  • Hello Priya,

    if the data is a raw format data, then you would need to use the PixelDraw to draw each of the pixels based on the image content
